Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Die langsame Eisbildung im nördlichen Ostseeraum 
wird bis über das Wochenende hinaus andauern. In 
den nächsten zwei Tagen wird das Eis in der 
Bottenvik weiterhin westwärts treiben. Im südlichen 
Ostseeraum wird in den nächsten Tagen der 
Eisrückgang einsetzen.

Slow ice formation in the northern region of the 
Baltic Sea will continue past week-end. During the 
next two days the ice in the Bay of Bothnia will 
‘urther drift to the west. The ice in the southern 
region of the Baltic Sea will start to decrease during 
the next days.

Estonia 
Tugs and barges are not assisted to Pärnu. 
icebreaker: EVA-316 is assisting to Pärnu Bay. 
Finland 
The Saimaa Canal is closed for traffic. 
icebreaker: OTSO, KONTIO and SISU assist in the Bay of Bothnia, 
Norway 
Navigation in Langärsund (Kragere) is temporarily closed. 
Russia 
Tow boat-barges are not assisted to St. Petersburg and Primorsk. 
Icebreaker: Low-powered vessels to St. Petersburg can be assisted at need by port icebreakers KARU, 
VAN KRUZENSTERN, YURI LISYANSKI and MUDJUG, in the port Primorsk by icebreakers ERMAK and 
SOROKIN and in the ports Vyborg and Vysotsk by icebreakers KAPITAN IZMAILOV and TOR. 
Sweden 
Vessels not suitable for winter navigation, river vessels and tugs with barge can not expect governmental 
cebreaker assistance. 
All ships entering harbours in the Gulf of Bothnia shall, when passing Svenska Biörn (N 59°33’ E 20° 01’) 
contact the VTS Gävle on VHF channel 84.
