Schärenmeer 
In den Schären liegt ebenes 5-15 cm dickes Eis, 
außerhalb davon kommt bis Lohm im Süden und 
bis Isokari im Norden Neueis vor.

Sea of Äland 
In sheltered bays and archipelagos there is thin 
evel ice or new ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the archipelagos there is level 5-15 cm thick ice. 
Farther off there is new ice to Lohm in the South 
and to Isokari in the North. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: There is thin ice in the archipelago, 
‘arther out a narrow belt of thin ice and new ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In the inner bays and harbours 
there is 10-25 cm thick level ice between 
Örnsköldsvik and Gävle. Farther off along the coast 
there is new ice and shuga. The Angermanälv is 
covered with 15-30 cm thick fast ice. At sea ice 
free. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt dünnes Eis, 
außerhalb davon ein schmaler Gürtel aus dünnem 
Eis und Neueis. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
nneren Buchten und Häfen zwischen Ornsköldsvik 
und Gävle liegt 10-25 cm dickes ebenes Eis. 
Außerhalb davon kommt entlang der Küste Neueis 
und Eisbrei vor. Der Ängermanälv ist mit 15-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. Auf See eisfrei. 
Norra Kvarken 
Vollkommen eisbedeckt. 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
20-30 cm dickes Festeis, an seinem Rand 
testgestampftes Eis. Anschließend kommt dünnes 
Eis oder Neueis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
Buchten und Häfen entlang der Küste liegt 10-35 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis. Außerhalb davon kommt Neueis, 
dünnes ebenes Eis oder dichtes bis sehr dichtes 5- 
10 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Totally ice covered. 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Ensten there 
s 20-30 cm thick fast ice, at its edge brash ice 
barrier. Farther off there is thin ice or new ice. - 
Swedish Coast: In bays and harbours along the 
coast there is 10-35 cm thick level ice. Farther off 
there is new ice, thin level ice or close to very close 
5-10 cm thick ice. 
Bottenvik 
Die Eisgrenze verläuft etwa auf der Linie St. 
Fjäderägg — Falkensgrund — Raahe — Nahkiainen — 
Kokkola-Leuchtturm. 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen Schären sind mit 
35-60 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. Außerhalb der 
Festeisgrenze liegt zwischen Oulu und Repskär sehr 
dichtes 15-45 cm dickes Treibeis und zwischen 
Kemi 2 und Kemi 1 sehr dichtes, teilweise 
Jbereinandergeschobenes 5-30 cm dickes Treibeis. 
Anschließend kommt etwa bis zur Linie 
Norströmsgrund — Qulun Portti — Raahe sehr dichtes 
5-15 cm dickes Treibeis und Trümmereis, weiter 
außerhalb etwa bis zur Linie Falkensgrund — Raahe 
—- Nahkiainen — Kokkola-Leuchtturm Neueis vor. In 
den südlichen inneren Schären 20-35 cm dickes Eis, 
außerhalb davon kommt südwärts bis Kokkola 
dichtes dünnes Eis und Neueis vor. - Schwedische 
Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 25-50 cm dickes 
Festeis. Außerhalb davon liegt bis zur Eisgrenze auf 
der Linie Nygrän — Oulu 1 dichtes bis sehr dichtes 
10-30 cm dickes Eis. Weiter südwärts kommt bis 
Norra Kvarken entlang der Küste dichtes dünnes 
Treibeis vor. 
Bay of Bothnia
