Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: In den inneren Boddengewässern 
liegt in den nördlichen Gebieten dünnes Eis. Der 
Hafen Stralsund und das nördliche Fahrwasser sind 
sisfrei. Vom Hafen Stralsund bis Palmer Ort offenes 
Wasser. Im Greifswalder Bodden liegt im südlichen 
Teil der Dänischen Wiek morsches Eis, sonst eisfrei. 
Der Hafen Wolgast und der nördliche Peenestrom 
sind größtenteils eisfrei. Auf dem südlichen 
Peenestrom liegt eine etwa 10 cm dicke, aufge- 
brochene Eisdecke und das Kleine Haff ist fast 
vollständig mit 10-12 cm dickem Eis bedeckt; auf 
dem Eis kommen viele Pfützen vor. - Polnische 
Küste: Im Stettiner Haff sehr dichtes etwa 15 cm 
dickes Eis. Im Fahrwasser Szeczecin — Swinoujscie 
kommt sehr dichtes, 10-15 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: In einigen geschützten 
Buchten und Schären kommt dünnes ebenes Eis 
oder Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Im westlichen und 
zentralen Teil liegt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter 
Östlich kommt in geschützten Buchten Neueis vor. 
Russische Küste: In der Zufahrt nach Kaliningrad 
liegt 10-15cm dickes Festeis. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt 12-15 cm 
dickes Festeis. Im Moonsund kommt in der östlichen 
Küstenzone 5-15 cm dickes Festeis, sonst sehr 
ockeres dünnes Treibeis und offenes Wasser vor. - 
Lettische Küste: Der Hafen von Riga ist eisfrei, im 
Fahrwasser zur Irbenstraße dann sehr lockeres 
Treibeis. 
Southern Baltic 
German Coast: In the inner Bodden waters there 
is thin ice in the northern sections. The Stralsund 
‘harbour and the fairway towards the north are ice- 
Free. From Stralsund to Palmer Ort there is open 
water. In the Greifswalder Bodden there is rotten 
ice in the southern part of the Dänische Wiek, else 
ice-free. The harbour of Wolgast and the northern 
Peenestrom are mostly ice-free. On the southern 
Peenestrom there is a broken ice cover, about 10 
cm thick, and Kleines Haff is nearly totally covered 
with 10-12 cm thick ice; on the ice there are many 
puddles. - Polish Coast: In Stettiner Haff there is 
very close about 15 cm thick ice. On the fairway 
Szezecin — Swinoujscie very close, 10-15 cm thick 
ice occurs. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: In some sheltered bays and 
archipelagos there is thin level ice or new ice. Lake 
Mälaren: In the western and central part there is 5- 
20 cm thick fast ice. Farther eastward there is new 
ıce in sheltered bays. Russian Coast: In the 
entrance to Kaliningrad there is 10-15cm thick fast 
‘ce. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is 12-15 
cm thick fast ice. In the eastern coastal zone of the 
Moonsund there is 5-15 cm thick fast ice, else very 
open, thin drift ice and open water. - Latvian 
Coast: The port of Riga is ice free, farther out in 
the fairway to Irben Strait there is very open drift 
ce. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Kundabucht kommt dicht 
an der Küste Neueis vor. - Finnische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären liegt dünnes Eis. Saimaasee ist für 
die Schifffahrt geschlossen. - Russische Küste: In 
den Häfen von St. Petersburg kommt dichtes 15-25 
cm dickes Eis vor. Weiter westwärts liegt im Fahr- 
wasser zuerst 15-30 cm dickes, sehr dichtes Eis bis 
zur Länge des Leuchtturms Tolbuchin, dann bis zur 
Länge des Leuchtturms Sepelevskij 10-20 cm 
dickes, dichtes und übereinandergeschobenes Eis, 
und zum Schluss bis zu 28%40' E dunkler Nilas und 
Neueis. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-30 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt, außerhalb davon Neueis. Im 
Berkezund und entlang der Küsten der Luga und 
Copora Bucht kommt Neueis vor. 
Älandsee 
In einigen geschützten Buchten und Schären an der 
schwedischen Küste kommt dünnes ebenes Eis 
oder Neueis vor. 
Schärenmeer 
In den Schären kommt örtlich Neueis vor. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bay of Kunda there is new 
ice close to the coast. - Finnish Coast: There is 
thin ice in the inner archipelago. Lake Saimaa is 
closed for navigation. - Russian Coast: In the 
harbours of St. Petersburg there is close 15-25 cm 
*hick ice. Farther westwards on the fairway there is 
very close 15-30 cm thick up to the longitude of 
'ighthouse Tolbuchin, farther out there is 10-20 cm 
'hick, close rafted ice to the lorngitude of the 
‚ighthouse Sepelevskij, then to 2840' E dark nilas 
and new ice. - The Vyborg Bay is covered with 15-30 
cm thick fast ice, farther out new ice. In the 
Berkezund, and along the coasts of the Luga and 
Copora Bay there is new ice. 
Sea of Äland 
In some sheltered bays and archipelagos along the 
Swedish coast there is thin level ice or new ice. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the archipelagos there is new ice, in places.
