Südliche Ostsee 
Deutsche Küste: In den inneren Boddengewässern 
meist offenes Wasser, aber bei Schaprode liegt 
dünnes Trümmereis, das die Kleinschifffahrt 
behindern kann. Im Hafen Stralsund kommt im 
Nordteil sehr lockeres dünnes Eis, weiter nach 
Norden bis zum Bessiner Haken dünnes dichtes Eis 
vor. Vom Hafen Stralsund bis Palmer Ort tritt im 
Strelasund dünnes zerbrochenes Treibeis auf; 
Behinderungen für Schiffe mit niedriger 
Maschinenleistung. Im Greifswalder Bodden ist der 
Hafen Greifswald-Wieck mit Neueis bedeckt und in 
der Dänischen Wiek kommt fast geschlossene etwa 
8 cm dicke Festeisdecke mit größeren offenen 
Stellen, die mit Neueis überfroren sind vor, sonst 
sisfrei. Im Hafen Wolgast und in einigen 
geschützten Buchten tritt dünnes Randeis auf, sonst 
ist der nördliche Peenestrom eisfrei. Auf dem 
südlichen Peenestrom liegt etwa 10 cm dickes 
Festeis. Das Kleine Haff ist vollständig mit 10-15 cm 
dickem Eis bedeckt. - Polnische Küste: Im Stettiner 
Yaff sehr dichtes etwa 15 cm dickes Eis. Im 
Fahrwasser Szeczecin — Swinoujscie kommt sehr 
dichtes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes, bis zu 
15 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Southern Baltic 
German Coast: In the inner Bodden waters there 
is mostly open water, but around Schaprode small 
vessels can be obstructed by thin brash ice. In the 
northern part of Stralsund harbour very open thin 
ice, farther northwards to Bessiner Haken close 
ı'hin ice occurs. From Stralsund to Palmer Ort there 
is in Strelasund broken thin ice; low-powered 
vessels can be obstructed. In the Greifswalder 
Bodden there is in the Dänische Wiek up to 8 cm 
thick ice cover with open areas frozen by new ice, 
and in the port Greifswald-Wieck there is new ice, 
else ice-free. In the harbour of Wolgast and in the 
sheltered bays of the northern Peenestrom there is 
some thin ice, else ice-free. On the southern 
Peenestrom there is about 10 cm thick fast ice. 
Kleines Haff is totally covered with 10-15 cm thick 
ice. - Polish Coast: In Stettiner Haff there is very 
close about 15 cm thick ice. On the fairway 
Szezecin — Swinoujscie very close, partly rafted, up 
to 15 cm thick ice occurs. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: In einigen geschützten 
Buchten und Schären kommt dünnes ebenes Eis 
und Neueis vor. Mälarsee: Im westlichen und 
zentralen Teil liegt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis. Weiter 
Östlich kommt in geschützten Buchten Neueis vor. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: Im nordöstlichen Teil der Pärnu 
Bucht liegt 10-15 cm dickes Festeis, im Westteil sehr 
dichtes Treibeis. Im Moonsund kommt in der 
Östlichen Küstenzone sehr dichtes, teilweise 
aufgepresstes Eis vor, im Fahrwasser treibt lockeres 
bis sehr lockeres Eis. - Lettische Küste: Die 
Fahrwasser sind eisfrei. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: In some sheltered bays and 
archipelagos there is thin level ice and new ice. 
Lake Mälaren: In the western and central part 
there is 5-20 cm thick fast ice. Farther eastward 
there is new ice in sheltered bays. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the northeastern part of the 
Pärnu Bay there is 10-15 cm thick fast ice, in the 
western part very close drift ice. In the eastern 
coastal zone of the Moonsund there is very close 
drift ice, ridged in places. In the central fairway 
open to very open drift ice. - Latvian Coast: The 
fairways are ice-free. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Bay of Kunda there is new 
ce close to the coast. - Finnish Coast: There is 
thin ice in the inner archipelago. Lake Saimaa: On 
‘he lake and in the Canal there is 10-30 cm thick ice. 
- Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
rhere is open to close 15-25 cm thick ice. Farther 
westwards on the fairway up to the western point of 
che island Kotlin there is 15-30 cm thick very close 
ice. Farther out there is 10-20 cm thick very close 
rafted ice to the longitude of the lighthouse Krasnaja 
Gorka, then open water. - The Vyborg Bay is 
covered with 15-30 cm thick fast ice. Berkezund, the 
Luga Bay and the Copora Bay are ice-free. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Kundabucht kommt dicht 
an der Küste Neueis vor. - Finnische Küste: In den 
inneren Schären liegt dünnes Eis. Saimaasee: Auf 
dem See und im Kanal 10-30 cm dickes Eis. - 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
kommt lockeres bis dichtes 15-25 cm dickes Eis vor. 
im Fahrwasser weiter westwärts liegt bis zur West- 
spitze Kotlin 15-30 cm dickes sehr dichtes Eis. 
Weiter bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms Krasnaja 
Gorka kommt 10-20 cm dickes sehr dichtes und 
übereinandergeschobenes Eis, dann offenes 
Wasser vor. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-30 cm 
dickem Festeis bedeckt. Berkezund, die Luga Bucht 
und die Copora Bucht sind eisfrei.
