Ängermanälv ist mit 10-20 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
dünnes ebenes Eis vor. - Schwedische Küste: In 
den geschützten Buchten tritt örtlich dünnes ebenes 
Eis auf. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären 
kommt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis vor. Außerhalb davon 
liegt ein schmaler Gürtel aus sehr dichtem Eis und 
'reibt dünnes Eis. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
nördlichen inneren Schären Festeis oder kompaktes 
Eis, 5-20 cm dick. Außerhalb davon kommt 
überwiegend offenes Wasser vor. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Swedish Coast: In sheltered bays there is thin 
level ice in places. The northern Ängermanälv is 
covered with 10-20 cm thick fast ice.

Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago 
there is 5-20 cm thick fast ice. Farther off there is 
first a narrow belt of very close ice, then thin level 
ice and new ice. - Swedish Coast: In the northern 
nner archipelago fast ice or compact drift ice, 5-20 
cm thick. Farther off there is mostly open water. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Zwischen einem Tiefdruckgebiet über der 
Norwegischen See und einem umfangreichen 
Hochdruckgebiet über Mitteleuropa und Russland 
ließt in den nächsten drei Tagen verhältnismäßig 
milde Meeresluft in den Ostseeraum ein. Die 
Eisbildung im nördlichen Ostseeraum wird daher 
gering bleiben. In der Bottenvik kann das dünne Eis 
durch starke südwestliche Winde an der 
Nordostküste zusammengeschoben werden. 
Expected Ice Development 
Between a deep low over the Norwegian Sea and 
an extensive high area over Central Europe and 
Russia mild maritime air will penetrate into the 
region of the Baltic Sea within the next three days. 
Therefore, no major ice formation will be expected 
'n the northern region of the Baltic Sea in this time. 
In the Bay of Bothnia thin ice will be compacted on 
the northern-east coast due to strong southwesterly 
winds.
