Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik ist größtenteils morsch und 
schmilzt. Das Festeis hat angefangen sich von der 
Küste zu lösen. Aus See kommt nur noch vereinzelt 
Eis vor. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 20-50 
zm dickes, morsches Festeis von Tornio nach Keila. 
Von Ajos raus zur offenen See kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. Von Oulu aus bis hinzu Kattikankalla 
kommt offenes Wasser vor, weiter außerhalb bis 
Oulu3 kommen stellenweise dickere Schollen vor. 
Südlich von Hailuoto ist die See eisfrel. 
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 10- 
45 cm dickes, morsches Festeis. Auf See kommt in 
der Nähe von Falkensgrund kommt morsches, 10- 
40cm dickes Eis vor, aber auch einige härtere 
Schollen. Nordwestlich der Linie Bjuröklubb - Kemi1 
kommen immer wieder einzelne Eisblöcken vor. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is, to a large extent, 
rotten and melting. The fast ice has begun to 
separate itself from the coast. At sea ice if found 
only in some smaller areas. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago 20-50 
cm thick rotten fast ice from Tornio to Keila. From 
Ajos out to sea there is open water. Out from Oulu 
here is open water up to Kattilankalla and then 
thick floes occur in places up to Oulu 3. South of 
Yailuoto the sea is ice free. Swedish Coast: The 
northern archipelagos are covered with 10-45 cm 
thick, rotten fast ice. At sea close to Falkensgrund a 
small area of rotten 10-40 cm thick ice, but also 
some hard floes in between. Single floebits occur 
northwest of the line Bjuröklubb - Kemi 1. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
In den nächsten Tagen bleibt der Wind überwiegend 
schwach und die Temperaturen erreichen Werte um 
die +5°C, Nachts kann es auch teilweise leichten 
wrost geben. Der Eisrückgang setzt sich weiter fort, 
das Festeis wird sich langsam von der Küste lösen 
und dann mit den Wind verdriften, insgesamt 
gesehen bleibt die Eisdrift aber gering. 
Expected Ice Development 
During the next days the wind is mostly weak and 
the temperatures will not reach values of about 5°C, 
during night light frost is possible in places. The ice 
retreat will continue and the fast ice will continue to 
detach from the coast and then start drifting with the 
wind, although overall the ice drift will be only small.
