Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik ist größtenteils morsch und 
schmilzt.

Überwiegend eisfrel.

The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is, to a large extent, 
rotten and melting.

Mostly ice- free. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Überwiegend eisfrei. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 30-50 
2m dickes, teilweise morsches Festeis von Tornio 
nach Keila. Von Ajos raus zur offenen See kommi 
offenes Wasser vor. Von Oulu aus bis hinzu 
Kattikankalla kommt offenes Wasser vor, dann weiter 
bis nach Oulu1 kommen dickere Schollen vor. 
Zwischen Raahe und Heikinkari liegt lockeres, 
morsches Eis. Im südlichen Teil offenes Wasser. 
Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 10- 
45 cm dickes, morsches Festeis. Von dem Festeis in 
den Schären von Lulea ausgehend Richtung 
Talkensgrund kommt dichtes und lockeres, 10-40cm 
dickes Eis vor, in dem einige gröbere Schollen vor- 
kommen. Bei Rödkallen liegt ein großes eisfreies 
Gebiet, in dem aber vereinzelt Eisblöcke vor- 
kommen. Weiter nach Süden, bis kurz hinter 
Bjuröklubb, liegt bis zu einer Entfernung von 5-10 sm 
von der Küste abwechselnd dichtes und lockeres, 
10-40cm dickes Eis und größere Bebiet offenem 
Wasser mit einzelnen Eisblöcken. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung Expected Ice Development 
Der jetzt überwiegend nordöstliche Wind dreht über The wind, which now is coming predominantly out of 
Nord auf Nordwest und nimmt langsam ab. Ab north-westerly directions will veer over north to north-

Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago 30-50 
cm thick fast ice, partly rotten from Tornio to Keila. 
From Ajos out to sea there is open water. Out from 
Dulu there is open water up to Kattilankalla and 
then thick floes occur up to Oulu 1. From Raahe out 
to Heikinkari there is open rotten drift ice. In the 
southern part open water. Swedish Coast: The 
1orthern archipelagos are covered with 10-45 cm 
thick, rotten fast ice. From the fast ice in the 
archipelago of Lulea towards Falkensgrund there is 
close or open ice, 10-40 cm thick with some heavy 
floes in between. Around Rödkallen there is a larger 
area with open water, but in the area single floebits 
occur. Further south, up to a position a little bit 
further then Bjuröklubb and up to a distance of 5- 
10nm from the coast, there is alternating close and 
open drift ice, 10-40cm thick and large areas of 
oben water with single floebits..
