Übersicht 
Das bewegliche Eis in der Bottenvik beginnt 
nordostwärts zu treiben, sonst haben sich die 
Eisverhältnisse im nördlichen Bottnischen 
Meerbusen seit gestern nicht wesentlich geändert.

The ice at sea in the Bay of Bothnia starts to drift

northern Gulf of Bothnia have not changed very

Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: On the northern Lake Saimaa there 
is 20-30 cm thick rottening ice, in the southern part 
10-15 cm thick rotten ice occurs. In the Saimaa Canal 
there is 5-10 cm thick rotten ice, in places. Russian 
Coast: Mositly ice-free. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Swedish Coast: On the northern Ängermanälv 
there is open 10-15 cm thick rotten ice 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: Im Nordteil des Saimaasees liegt 
morsch werdendes 20-30 cm dickes Eis, im Südteil 
ist das Eis 10-15 cm dick und morsch. Im Saimaa 
Kanal kommt örtlich 5-10 cm dickes morsches Eis 
vor. Russische Küste: Überwiegend eisfrei. 
Bottensee 
Schwedische Küste: Lockeres morsches Eis, 10- 
15 cm dick, kommt auf dem nördlichen Änger- 
manälv vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären von 
Vaasa liegt 10-30 cm dickes morsches Eis, 
außerhalb davon kommt offenes Wasser vor.

there is 10-30 cm thick rotten ice, farther out open 
water occurs. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 30-60 
om dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon treiben östlich 
von Kemi 1 einzelne grobe Schollen und sehr 
lockeres dünnes Eis. Sonst kommt auf See 
überwiegend offenes Wasser vor. In den südlichen 
inneren Schären tritt dünnes morsches Eis, 
anschließend offenes Wasser auf. Schwedische 
Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 25-50 cm dickes 
-esteis. Außerhalb davon tritt westlich der Linie 8 sm 
nördlich von Malören — Falkensgrund — 10 sm 
nordsöstlich von Bijuröklubb größtenteils dichtes 20- 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago 30-60 
cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice very open thin ice 
and single thick floes are drifting in the area east of 
Kemi 1. Else at sea, there is mostly open water. In 
the southern inner archipelagos there is thin rotten 
ice, farther off open water occurs. Swedish Coast: 
The northern archipelago are covered with 25-50 
om thick fast ice. Farther off west of the line 8 nm 
north of Malören — Falkensgrund —- 10 nm northeast 
of Bjuröklubb there is mostly close 20-40 cm thick, 
Dartiy ridged ice. But in between there are also
