Übersicht 
In der nördlichen Bottenvik bildete sich über Nacht 
auf See Neueis, sonst haben sich die Eisverhältnisse 
im nördlichen Bottnischen Meerbusen seit gestern 
nicht wesentlich geändert. 
Overview 
New ice has formed at sea in the northern part of 
the Bay of Bothnia during the night. Otherwise, ice 
conditions in the northern Gulf of Bothnia have not 
changed very much since yesterday. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: On the northern Lake Saimaa there 
s 20-30 cm, in the southern part as well as in the 
Saimaa Canal 5-25 cm thick rottening ice. Russian 
Coast: Very open rotten ice is still present in the 
northernmost part of the Vyborg Bay. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Swedish Coast: On the northern Ängermanälv 
there is open 10-15 cm thick rotten ice 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: Das Eis auf dem Saimaasee wird 
morsch und ist im nördlichen Teil 20-30 cm, im 
Südteil sowie im Saimaa Kanal 5-25 cm dick. 
Russische Küste: Im nördlichsten Teil der Vyborg- 
bucht kommt noch sehr lockeres morsches Eis vor. 
Bottensee 
Schwedische Küste: Lockeres morsches Eis, 10- 
15 cm dick, kommt auf dem nördlichen Änger- 
manälv vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Storhästen 
liegt 10-30 cm dickes morsches Eis, außerhalb 
davon kommt offenes Wasser vor.

Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 30-60 
om dickes Festeis. Außerhalb des Festeises kommt 
bis etwa zur Breite von Marjaniemi sehr lockeres 
dünnes Eis vor und treiben einzelne grobe Schollen. 
Die südlichen inneren Schären sind mit dünnem 
morschen Eis bedeckt, anschließend kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen 
Schären 25-60 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon 
:ritt westlich der Linie Farstugrunden -— 
Norströmsgrund — Bjuröklubb größtenteils sehr 
dichtes 20-40 cm dickes, teilweise aufgepresstes Eis 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern archipelago 30-60 
cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice there is very open 
thin ice, and single thick floes are drifting 
approximately to the latitude of Marjaniemi. In the 
southern inner archipelagos there is thin rotten ice, 
farther off open water occurs. Swedish Coast: The 
northern archipelago are covered with 25-60 cm 
thick fast ice. Farther off west of the line 
Farstugrunden — Norströmsgrund — Bjuröklubb 
there is mostly very close 20-40 cm thick, partly 
ridged ice. But in between there are also single
