wechselweise kompaktes und aufgepresstes 30-50 
sm dickes Eis, lockeres 10-40 cm dickes Eis und 
Bereiche mit offenem Wasser auf. Die Skellefteä 
Bucht ist mit kompaktem 20-40 cm dicken Eis 
Dedeckt, in dem Pressungen vorkommen. Von 
Bjuröklubb südwärts erstreckt sich dicht an der Küste 
ain schmaler Gürtel mit Trümmereis, sonst können 
auf See vereinzelt grobe Eisschollen treiben. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Das Eis im östlichen Finnischen Meerbusen wird in 
den nächsten drei bis vier Tagen fast vollständig 
abschmelzen. Auch in der Bottensee und in Norra 
Kvarken setzt sich der Eisrückgang fort. Die 
zisverhältnisse in der Bottenvik werden sich bis über 
das Wochenende hinaus bei Lufttemperaturen um 
den Gefrierpunkt und schwachen bis mäßigen, 
zeitweise auch auffrischenden Winden aus 
nordöstlichen bis östlichen Richtungen nicht 
wesentlich verändern.

of open water. The Skellefteäa Bight is covered by 
compact 20-40 cm thick ice, pressure occurs in the 
ice field. From Bjuröklubb southwards there is a 
narrow belt with brash ice close to the coast, else at 
sea single heavy ice floes can drift. 
Expected Ice Development 
The ice in the eastern Gulf of Finland will almost 
totally melt during the next three to four days. In the 
Sea of Bothnia and Norra Kvarken the ice retreat 
will continue, too. The ice conditions in the Bay of 
Bothnia will not change very much past week-end 
due to the air temperatures around freezing point 
and weak to moderate, partly also increasing winds 
from northeasterly to easterly directions.
