Übersicht 
An den Küsten des nördlichen Bottnischen 
Meerbusens dauert Neueisbildung an. 
Mittlere und Nördliche Ostsee 
Schwedische Küste: - Mälarsee: Eisfrei. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg 
reiben Streifen mit sehr lockerem dünnen Eis. 
Weiter im Fahrwasser bis zur Ostspitze von Kotlin 
kommt kompaktes 5-15 cm dickes, teilweise 
übereinandergeschobenes Eis vor. - Die geschützten 
Bereiche in der inneren Vyborgbucht sind mit 5-15 
sm dickem Festeis bedeckt, im Fahrwasser tritt 
dünnes Eis auf. 
Overview 
In the coastal areas of the northern Gulf of Bothnia 
new ice formation continues. 
Central and Northern Baltic 
Swedish coast: - Lake Mälaren: Ice-free. 
Gulf of Finland 
Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg 
strips of very open thin ice are drifting. Farther out on 
the fairway up to the eastern point of Kotlin there is 
z:ompact 5-15 cm thick ice, partly rafted. - Sheltered 
areas in the top of Vyborg Bay are covered by 5-15 
cm thick fast ice, on the fairway thin ice occurs. 
Bottensee 
Schwedische Küste: Von Umeä südwärts bis 
Härnösand tritt dicht an der Küste Neueis auf. Auf 
dem Ängermanälv kommt nördlich der Sandöbrücke 
5-10 cm dickes Festeis. südlich davon Neueis vor. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Swedish Coast: From Umeä southwards to 
Härnösand there is new ice in the areas close to 
the coast. On the Ängermanälv north of the Sandö 
Bridge there is 5-10 cm thick fast ice, south of it 
new ice occurs. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären 
kommt 5-20 cm dickes Festeis oder kompaktes 
Treibeis vor. Außerhalb davon treibt dünnes 
lockeres Eis. - Schwedische Küste: In den 
16rdlichen inneren Schären Festeis oder kompaktes 
Eis, 5-15 cm dick; außerhalb davon Neueis und 
Neueisbildung. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago 
there is 5-20 cm thick fast ice or compact drift ice. 
Farther off thin open ice is drifting. - Swedish 
Coast: In the northern inner archipelago fast ice or 
sompact drift ice, 5-15 cm thick; farther off there is 
new ice and new ice formation.
