Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik treibt langsam südwestwärts 
und nimmt dabei weiter ab. Außerhalb des Festeises 
kommt im gesamten östlichen Teil nur ganz 
vereinzelt Eis vor. Von der südlichen Bottenvik bis 
hin zum finnischen Meerbusen ist das Eis morsch 
und nimmt weiter ab. Die Schifffahrtsbe- 
schränkungen nach Holmsund sind aufgehoben und 
nach vielen finnischen Häfen gelockert worden. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären liegt 
örtlich dünnes, morsches Eis. Auf dem nördlichen 
Saimaa See kommt 20-50 cm dickes, im Südteil 
sowie im Saimaa Kanal 10-30 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Russische Küste: Die Häfen von St. Petersburg 
sind eisfrei. Im Fahrwasser weiter westwärts 
kommen Streifen mit dichten, 10-20cm dicken, 
'eilweise morschen Eis, bis südlich der Insel Kotlin 
vor. Westwärts davon eisfrei. - Im Berkezund 
kommen Streifen mit morschen Eis vor, die Einfahrt 
ist eisfrei. - Die Vyborgbucht ist mit sehr dichten, 10- 
20 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, die Einfahrt ist eisfrei. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt örtlich 
dünnes, morsches Eis. Schwedische Küste: Auf 
dem nördlichen Ängermanälv kommt morsches 
lockeres 10-15 cm dickes Eis vor. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Gäsgrund 
Storhästen liegt 10-30 cm dickes, morsches Festeis, 
außerhalb offenes Wasser. Schwedische Küste: 
Auf See kommt überwiegend offenes Wasser vor.

Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is slowly drifting 
southwestwards and is further decreasing. Off the 
fast ice the whole eastern part is virtually open 
water. From the southern Bay of Bothnia 
southwards all the way to the Gulf of Finland the ice 
nas become rotten and will decreases further. 
Traffic restrictions to Holmsund have been 
cancelled and to many Finnish port are loosened. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin 
rotten ice, in places. On the northern Lake Saimaa 
there is 20-50 cm thick, in the southern part as well 
as in the Saimaa Canal 10-30 cm thick ice. Russian 
Coast: The harbours of St. Petersburg are ice free. 
Farther out on the fairway stripes of 10-20cm thick, 
partly rotten close ice are found all the way to the 
south of the island Kotlin. Farther westward ice free. - 
ın Berkezund there are stripes of rotten ice, the 
entrance is ice free. - The Vyborg Bay is covered by 
10-20 cm thick, very close ice, the entrance is ice 
free. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago there is thin 
rotten ice in places. Swedish Coast: On the 
northern Ängermanälv there is rotten, 10-20 cm 
thick, open ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa and Gäsgrund 
there is 10-30 cm thick, rotten fast ice, farther out 
open water. Swedish Coast: At sea mostly open 
water occurs.
