Übersicht 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik treibt langsam südwärts, die 
zisverhältnisse im nördlichen Ostseeraum haben 
sich aber seit gestern nicht wesentlich geändert. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is slowly drifting 
southwards, but the ice conditions in the northern 
region of the Baltic Sea have not changed very 
much since yesterday. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
örtlich dünnes Eis vor. Auf dem Saimaa See sowie 
im Saimaa Kanal 10-40 cm dickes Eis. Russische 
Küste: In den Häfen von St. Petersburg kommi 
stellenweise sehr lockeres Eis vor. Weiter westwärts 
bis zur Länge von Kronstadt tritt im Fahrwasser sehr 
dichtes, teilweise hügelig aufgepresstes 15-25 cm 
dickes Eis mit einem offenen Bereich auf. 
Anschließend kommt bis zur Länge des Leuchtturms 
Krasnaja Gorka dünnes Trümmereis vor. - Im 
Berkezund liegt kompaktes 10-15 cm dickes Eis, in 
der Einfahrt dünnes Trümmereis. - Die innere 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-25 cm dickem Festeis und 
kompaktem 10-20 cm dicken Eis bedeckt, die 
Einfahrt ist eisfrei. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin 
ce, in places. On the Saimaa lake as well as in the 
Saimaa Canal there is 10-40 cm thick ice. Russian 
Coast: In the harbours of St. Petersburg there is very 
open ice in places. Farther out on the fairway up to 
the longitude of Kronstadt there is very close, partly 
ı1ummocked 15-25 cm thick ice with an open area. 
Farther westwards there is thin brash ice up to the 
'ongitude of the lighthouse Krasnaja Gorka. - In 
Berkezund there is compact 10-15 cm thick ice, in the 
antrance thin brash ice. - The Vyborg Bay is covered 
by 15-25 cm thick fast ice and compact 10-20 cm 
thick ice, the entrance is ice-free. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt örtlich 
dünnes Eis. Außerhalb der Küste treibt nördlich von 
>ori auf 1-5 sm lockeres dünnes Eis. Schwedische 
Küste: Auf See kommt nördlich von Sydostbrotten 
3-10 cm dickes, teilweise übereinandergescho- 
benes Eis vor. Der nördliche Ängermanälv ist mit 
10-30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. In geschützten 
Buchten und Häfen südwärts bis Gävle kommt 
dünnes ebenes Eis vor. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago there is thin ice 
in places. Off the coast, north of Pori, thin open ice 
is drifting for 1-5 nm. Swedish Coast: At sea north 
of Sydostbrotten there is 3-10 cm thick, partly rafted 
ice. The northern Ängermanälv is covered with 10- 
30 cm thick fast ice. Thin level ice occurs in 
sheltered bays and harbours southwards to Gävle.
