Übersicht 
Die Eisverhältnisse im nördlichen Ostseeraum haben 
sich seit gestern kaum geändert. 
- Schifffahrtsbeschränkungen für die russischen 
Häfen Vyborg und Vysotsk werden am 24. März 
aufgehoben. 
Saimaa - Kanal wird für die Schifffahrt am 25. März 
geöffnet. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
örtlich dünnes Eis vor. Russische Küste: In den 
Häfen von St. Petersburg kommt stellenweise sehr 
ockeres Eis vor. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge der 
Westspitze von Kotlin tritt im Fahrwasser dichtes und 
sehr dichtes, 15-25 cm dickes, teilweise hügelig 
aufgepresstes Eis auf. Anschließend treibt bis zur 
Länge des Kaps Seraja LoSad' sehr lockeres Eis. - 
Im Berkezund und in der Einfahrt liegt kompaktes 10- 
15 cm dickes Eis. - In der Vyborgbucht liegt 15-25 
om dickes Festeis und kompaktes 10-20 cm dickes 
Eis, die Einfahrt ist eisfrel. 
Schärenmeer 
UÜberwiegend offenes Wasser. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt örtlich 
dünnes Eis. Schwedische Küste: Der nördliche 
Angermanälv ist mit 10-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt.

Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Nygrund

Overview 
Ice conditions in the northern region of the Baltic 
Sea have hardly changed since yesterday. 
- The restrictions to navigation for the Russian ports 
Vyborg and Vysotsk will be cancelled from March, 
24°. 
- The Saimaa canal will be opened for traffic on 
Tuesday, 25" March. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin 
ice, In places. Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Petersburg there is very open ice in places. Farther 
out on the fairway up to the longitude of the western 
point of the island Kotlin there is 15-25 cm thick, close 
and very close ice, which is partly hummocked. 
Farther westwards very open ice is drifting up to the 
ongitude of the Cape Seraja LoSad'. - In Berkezund 
and its entrance there is compact 10-15 cm thick ice. 
The Vyborg Bay is covered by 15-25 cm thick fast 
ice and compact 10-20 cm thick ice, the entrance is 
ice-free. 
Archipelago Sea 
Mostly open water. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the archipelago there is thin ice, 
in places. Swedish Coast: The _northern 
Ängermanälv is covered with 10-30 cm thick fast 
ice.

Finnish Coast: Between Vaasa to Nygrund there is
