Übersicht 
Das Eis auf See in der Bottenvik treibt westwärts, 
wodurch es zu Überschiebungen und Aufpressungen 
kommt. Die südliche Eisgrenze verläuft entlang der 
Breite 65°N. Im finnischen Meerbusen ist das Eis 
etwas nach Westen gedriftet. 
Overview 
The ice in the Bay of Bothnia is drifting westwards, 
causing some rafting and ridging. The southern ice 
edge runs along the latitude 65° N. The ice in the 
eastern Gulf of Finland has drifted westwards. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
Srtlich dünnes Eis vor. Russische Küste: In den 
Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt kompaktes 10-15 cm 
dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge von 
Kronstadt tritt im Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 15-30 cm 
dickes, teilweise hügelig aufgepresstes Eis auf. 
Anschließend treiben bis zur Länge von Ostspitze 
der Insel Bol'Soj Ber'ozovyj dichtes und lockeres, bis 
zu 15cm dickes Eis. Nördlich etwa der Linie Insel 
Bol'Soj Berozovyj — Insel Kotlin liegt kompaktes, 
‘'eilweise übereinander-geschobenes 5-15 cm dickes 
=is. - Im Berkezund kompaktes 10-15 cm dickes Eis, 
in der Einfahrt Nilas, 5-15 cm dick. - In der Vyborg- 
boucht liegt 20-35 cm dickes Festeis und kompaktes 
10-20 cm dickes Eis, die Einfahrt ist eisfrei. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos there is thin 
.ce, in places, Russian Coast: In the harbours of St. 
Petersburg there is compact 10-15 cm thick ice. 
Farther out on the fairway up to the longitude of 
ronstadt there is 15-30 cm thick very close, partly 
ı1ummocked ice. Farther westwards open to close 
‚ce, up to 15cm thick, is drifting up to the longitude of 
the eastern point of island Bol'Soj Berozovyj. North 
of about the line island Bol'Soj Berozovyj — Island 
Kotlin there is compact, partly rafted 5-15 cm thick 
‘ce. - In Berkezund compact 10-15 cm thick ice, in 
the entrance nilas, 5-15 cm thick. - The Vyborg Bay is 
covered by 20-35 cm thick fast ice and compact 10- 
20 cm thick ice, the entrance is ice-free. 
Schärenmeer 
Überwiegend offenes Wasser. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den Schären liegt örtlich 
dünnes Eis. Schwedische Küste: Der nördliche 
Ängermanälv ist mit 10-30 cm dickem Festeis 
bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Ensten liegt 
Archipelago Sea 
Mostly open water. 
Sea of Bothnia
