Im nördlichen Ostseeraum dauert die Eisbildung an. 
Overview 
Ice formation in the northern region of the Baltic 
Sea continues. 
Skagerrak and Kattegat 
Sweden: Lake Vänern: On the northern coast 
between Karlstad and Kristinehamn there is thin 
close ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is on the 
north-eastern coast fast ice, about 16 cm thick. 
Farther off there is close 5-10 cm thick ice. In 
Moonsund there is fast ice and new ice. 
Gulf of Finland 
Estonian Coast: In the Narva and Kunda Bays there 
is new ice. Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelagos 
there is thin ice and new ice. Russian Coast: In the 
harbours of St. Petersburg there is compact 10-15 cm 
thick ice. Farther out on the fairway up to the 
ongitude of Kronstadt there is 15-30 cm thick very 
3lose, partly hummocked ice. Farther westwards 
there is first up to the longitude of lighthouse Krasnaja 
Gorka compact 5-10 cm thick ice, then dark nilas and 
new ice up to the longitude of Cape Sepelevskij. - In 
Berkezund compact 5-10 cm thick ice occurs. - The 
Vyborg Bay is covered by 15-25 cm thick fast ice and 
compact 10-15 cm thick ice, in the entrance there is 
new ice. - In the Luga Bay dark nilas occurs along 
the coast. 
Skagerrak und Kattegat 
Schwedische Küste: Vänersee: An der Nordküste 
ritt zwischen Karlstad und Kristinehamn dünnes 
dichtes Eis auf. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt an der 
Nordostküste Festeis, etwa 16 cm dick, außerhalb 
davon dichtes 5-10 cm dickes Eis. Im Moonsund 
kommt Festeis und Neueis vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In Narva- und Kundabucht kommt 
Neueis vor. Finnische Küste: In den inneren 
Schären dünnes Eis und Neueis. Russische Küste: 
In den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt kompaktes 10- 
15 cm dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge 
von Kronstadt tritt im Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 15-30 
sm dickes, teilweise hügelig aufgepresstes Eis auf. 
Anschließend kommt erst bis zur Länge vom 
Leuchtturm Krasnaja Gorka kompaktes 5-10 cm 
dickes Eis, dann bis zur Länge vom Kap Sepelevskij 
dunkler Nilas und Neueis vor. - Im Berkezund tritt 
kompaktes 5-10 cm dickes Eis auf. - In der Vyborg- 
Ducht liegt 15-25 cm dickes Festeis und kompaktes 
10-15 cm dickes Eis, in der Einfahrt Neueis. - In der 
Lugabucht kommt entlang der Küste dunkler Nilas 
vor. 
Schärenmeer 
Inden Sechären kommt örtlich dünnes Eis vor. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the archipelagos there is thin ice, in places.
