Übersicht 
Das Eis in der nördlichen Bottenvik treibt mit starken 
nördlichen Winden südwärts. Im Nordteil und entlang 
der Küsten in der Bottenvik bildet sich verbreitet 
Neueis. 
Skagerrak und Kattegat 
Schwedische Küste: Vänersee: An der Nordküste 
'ritt zwischen Karlstad und Kristinehamn dünnes 
dichtes Eis auf. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt an der 
Nordostküste ein schmaler Festeissaum, etwa 16 cm 
dick. Außerhalb davon treiben kleine Eisschollen 
südwärts. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den östlichen inneren Schären 
dünnes Eis und Neueisbildung. Russische Küste: In 
den Häfen von St. Petersburg liegt örtlich 10-15 cm 
dickes Eis. Weiter westwärts bis zur Länge der 
Ostspitze von Kotlin tritt im Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 
10-20 cm dickes, teilweise Üübereinander- 
geschobenes und hügelig aufgepresstes Eis auf. 
Anschließend kommt örtlich Neueis und Eisbildung 
vor. - Berkezund ist eisfrei. - In der Vyborgbucht liegt 
12-20 cm dickes Festeis, die Einfahrt ist eisfrei.

Overview 
The ice in the northern Bay of Bothnia is rapidly 
drifting southwards due to strong northerly winds. In 
the northern part and off the coasts in the Bay of 
Bothnia new ice is forming. 
Skagerrak and Kattegat 
Sweden: Lake Vänern: On the northern coast 
between Karlstad and Kristinehamn there is thin 
close ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is on the 
north-eastern coast a narrow belt of fast ice, about 
16 cm thick. Farther off small ice floes are drifting 
southwards. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the eastern inner archipelagos 
there is thin ice and ice formation. Russian Coast: In 
the harbours of St. Petersburg there is 10-15 cm thick 
ce, in places. Farther out on the fairway up to the 
ongitude of the eastern point of Kotlin there is 10-20 
cm thick very close, partly hummocked and rafted ice. 
Farther westwards new ice and ice formation occurs 
n places. - Berkezund is ice free. - The Vyborg Bay is 
covered by 12-20 cm thick fast ice, the entrance is ice 
free.

In the archipelagos there is new ice and ice 
formation, in places.
