Jas Gebiet zwischen der Küste und Holmöarna ist 
größtenteils mit Neueis bedeckt.

entrance to Holmsund there is thin ice. The region 
between the coast and Holmöarna is covered for 
the most part with new ice. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago 
25-40 cm thick fast ice. Farther out there is first a 
ead with new ice running from Northeast of Kemi 2 
to Northeast of Kemi 1, then 10-30 cm thick very 
2lose ice. Off Oulu past Oulu 1 there are 10-30 cm 
thick ice floes, new ice and open spots. Off Raahe 
here is thin ice. The ice edge runs approximately 
from Malören via Merikallat to Raahe lighthouse. In 
the southern archipelago there is thin ice, farther 
aut new ice. Swedish Coast: In the northern 
archipelago fast ice, 25-40 cm thick. At sea north of 
the line Nygrän — Farstugrunden —- Malören new ice 
and open ice is drifting. Farther southwards to 
Norra Kvarken there is new ice or shuga along the 
Coast. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären 
25-40 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon zuerst 
sine Rinne mit Neueis, die von nordöstlich von Kemi 
2 bis nordöstlich von Kemi 1 verläuft. Anschließend 
kommt 10-30 cm dickes sehr dichtes Eis vor. Von 
außerhalb Oulu bis über Oulu 1 hinaus treten 10-30 
om dicke Eisschollen, Neueis und offene Stellen auf. 
Außerhalb Raahe kommt dünnes Eis vor. Die Eis- 
grenze verläuft etwa von Malören über Merikallat 
zum Raahe-Leuchtturm. In den südlichen Schären 
liegt dünnes Eis, außerhalb davon kommt Neueis 
vor. Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen Schären 
Testeis, 25-40 cm dick. Auf See treibt nördlich der 
Linie Nygrän — Farstugrunden — Malören Neueis und 
lockeres Eis. Weiter südwärts bis Norra Kvarken 
kommt entlang der Küste Neueis oder Eisbrei vor. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
In den nächsten drei Tagen fließt vom Südosten her 
mäßig kalte Luft in den nördlichen Ostseeraum ein. 
In der nördlichen Bottenvik kann sich etwas Neueis 
bilden, sonst werden sich die Eisverhältnisse nicht 
wesentlich verändern. 
Expected Ice Development 
Within the next three days moderate cold air will 
penetrate from the southeast into the northern 
region of the Baltic Sea. In the northern Bay of 
Bothnia some new ice may form. Otherwise, the ice 
conditions will not change very much.
