Übersicht 
Das Eisfeld in der Bottenvik hat sich weiter südwärts 
verlagert. Bei Temperaturen um -10 © bildet sich in 
den offenen Bereichen der nördlichen Bottenvik 
Neueis. 
Overview 
The ice field in the Bay of Bothnia has moved 
farther southwards. At air temperatures around 
-10 © new ice is forming in the open areas of the 
northern Bay of Bothnia. 
Skagerrak and Kattegat 
Sweden: Lake Vänern: On the northern coast 
between Karlstad and Kristinehamn there is thin 
close ice. 
Gulf of Riga 
Estonian Coast: In the Pärnu Bay there is for 4-7 
«m 5-13 cm thick fast ice and compact ridged ice. 
Farther off there is open water. 
Skagerrak und Kattegat 
Schwedische Küste: Vänersee: An der Nordküste 
tritt zwischen Karlstad und Kristinehamn dünnes 
dichtes Eis auf. 
Rigaischer Meerbusen 
Estnische Küste: In der Pärnu Bucht liegt auf 4-7 
km 5-13 cm dickes Festeis und kompaktes 
aufgepresstes Eis, anschließend kommt offenes 
Wasser vor. 
Finnischer Meerbusen 
Finnische Küste: In den östlichen Schären dünnes 
=is. Saimaasee: Im Nordteil tritt 15-20 cm dickes 
zis, im südlichen Teil und im Kanal 10-15 cm dickes 
=is auf. Russische Küste: In den Häfen von St. 
Detersburg liegt 10-15 cm dickes kompaktes Eis. 
Neiter westwärts bis zur Länge der Ostspitze von 
Kotlin tritt im Fahrwasser sehr dichtes 10-20 cm 
dickes, teilweise übereinandergeschobenes und 
nügelig aufgepresstes Eis auf. Weiter westwärts 
aisfrei. - Im Berkezund kompaktes 5-10 cm dickes 
Eis und Schneeschlamm. - In der Vyborgbucht liegt 
10-15 cm dickes Festeis, die Einfahrt ist eisfrei. 
Gulf of Finland 
Finnish Coast: In the eastern archipelagos there is 
thin ice. Lake Saimaa: In the northern part 15-20 cm 
thick ice, in the southern part and in the Canal 10- 
15 cm thick ice occurs. Russian Coast: In the 
narbours of St. Petersburg there is 10-15 cm thick 
zompact ice. Farther out on the fairway up to the 
'ongitude of eastern point of Koatlin there is very close, 
party hummocked and rafted 10-20 cm thick ice. 
Farther westwards ice-free. - In Berkezund there is 5- 
10 cm thick compact ice and slush. - The Vyborg Bay 
Ss covered by 10-15 cm thick fast ice, the entrance is 
ce free. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
Srtlich dünnes Eis vor. Schwedische Küste: Der 
nördliche Ängermanälv ist mit 10-20 cm dickem 
Sea of Bothnia
