Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären kommt 
Srtlich dünnes Eis vor. Schwedische Küste: Der 
nördliche Ängermanälv ist mit 10-20 cm dickem 
Festeis bedeckt. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Zwischen Vaasa und Nagelbrick 
liegt dünnes Festeis. Schwedische Küste: In der 
=infahrt zu Holmsund und in geschützten Buchten 
kommt dünnes Eis vor. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: In den nördlichen inneren Schären 
10-35 cm dickes Festeis. Außerhalb davon verläuft 
nordöstlich von Kemi-2 eine Rinne, danach komm! 
südwestlich von Kemi-1 10-30 cm dickes sehr 
dichtes, teilweise aufgepresstes Eis vor. Zwischen 
Oulu und Kattilankalla liegt 10-30 cm dickes Festeis, 
Außerhalb davon treibt westlich von Oulu-1 lockeres 
dünnes Eis bis zur Eisgrenze, die von Malören nach 
etwa Marjanemi verläuft. In den südlichen Schären 
liegt dünnes Eis. Schwedische Küste: In den nörd- 
lichen inneren Schären Festeis, 10-30 cm dick. 
Außerhalb davon liegt bis zu den äußeren Inseln 5- 
20 cm dickes, abwechselnd dichtes und lockeres Eis. 
Außerdem kommt Neuekeis vor. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Bis Mittwoch werden bei nördlichen Winden die 
Temperaturen im gesamten Ostseeraum abnehmen. 
Das Eis in der Bottenvik wird sich weiterhin nach 
Süden ausdehnen und es bildet sich weiteres 
Neueis. Auch im östlichen Finnischen Meerbusen 
bildet sich Neueis. Am Mittwoch wird dann aber 
wieder wärmere Luft vom Westen und Süden in den 
Ostseeraum fließen.

Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the inner archipelago there is 
thin ice in places. Swedish Coast: The northern 
Ängermanälv is covered with 10-20 cm thick fast 
ice. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: From Vaasa to Nagelbrick there is 
hin fast ice. Swedish Coast: In the entrance to 
YHolmsund and in sheltered bays there is thin ice. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: In the northern inner archipelago 
10-35 cm thick fast ice. Off the fast ice there is a 
ead to the north-east of Kemi-2. Further out south- 
west of Kemi 1 there is 10-30 cm thick very close, 
partly ridged ice. Between Oulu and Kattilankalla 
there is 10-30 cm thick fast ice. Farther out west of 
Qulu-1 there is open drift ice. The ice edge runs 
from Malören to approximately Marjaniemi. In the 
southern archipelago there is thin ice. Swedish 
Coast: In the northern inner archipelago fast ice, 
10-30 cm thick. Farther off up to the outer islands 
there is 5-20 cm thick close and open drift ice, as 
well as new ice. 
Expected Ice Development 
Until Wednesday the predominantly northerly winds 
will bring colder temperatures to the whole Baltic 
area. The ice in the Bay of Bothnia will continue to 
drift southwards and there is continuos new ice 
formation. New ice will also form in the eastern part 
of the Gulf of Finland. Starting Wednesday warmer 
air will enter the Baltic region from the west and 
south.
