St. Petersburg kommt zusammengeschobenes 15- 
20 cm dickes Eis vor. Im Fahrwasser weiter 
westwärts liegt bis zur Ostspitze Kotlin 15-25 cm 
dickes Festeis, von dort bis zur Westspitze Kotlin 
15-25cm dickes, dichtes Eis. Weiter dann bis zur 
_-änge von Kap Seraja LoSad' 10-15cm dickes, 
sehr dichtes Eis und von dort bis zur Länge vom 
"euchtturm Sepelevskij dunkler Nilas. - Die 
Vyborgbucht ist mit 15-25 cm dickem Festeis be- 
deckt, weiter außerhalb kommt im Fahrwasser 
dunkler Nilas vor. Im Berkezund liegt Neueis. In 
der Luga Bucht liegt bis zur Breite von Dubki 
dunkler Nilas und Neueis. In der Copora Bucht 
kommt dunkler Nilas und Eisbreiklümpchen vor. 
Schärenmeer 
In den Schären kommt örtlich Neueis vor. In ges- 
chützten Buchten der Alandsee tritt Neueis auf. 
Bottensee 
Finnische Küste: In den inneren Schären dünnes 
5is. - Schwedische Küste: Nördlich von 
Audiksvall kommt in den inneren Buchten und 
<leineren Häfen 5-15 cm dickes ebenes Eis vor. 
Entlang der Küste südwärts bis Gävle tritt in 
geschützten Buchten dünnes ebenes Eis oder 
Neueis auf. Der nördliche Ängermanälv ist mit 15- 
30 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt, im südlichen Teil 
treibt dichtes bis lockeres, 10-15 cm dickes Eis. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnische Küste: Dünnes Eis zwischen Vaasa 
nd Norra Gloppsten. - Schwedische Küste: In 
geschützten Buchten und Häfen liegt 5-15 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis. 
Bottenvik 
Finnische Küste: Die nördlichen inneren Schären 
sind mit 20-40 cm dickem Festeis bedeckt. 
Außerhalb der Festeisgrenze liegt, etwa bis zur 
_inie Repskär - Kemi 1 - 10sm westlich von Oulu-1 
20sm westlich von Hailuoto - Nahkiainen, dichtes 
pis sehr dichtes, 5-20cm dickes Treibeis. Zeitweise 
<x<ommen im nördliche Teil des Eisfeldes Eis- 
pressungen vor. In den südlichen inneren Schären 
53-20 cm dickes Eis, außerhalb davon erst eine 2- 
5sm breite Rinne und dann dünnes, dichtes 
Treibeis. - Schwedische Küste: In den nördlichen 
Schären liegt 10-40cm dickes Festeis, daran an- 
schließend Eisbrei und Neueis. Außerhalb liegt ein 
aebiet mit lockerem Treibeis von Luleä über 
Rödkallen bis nach Falkensgrund. In den südlichen 
Schären kommt in geschützten Buchten 10-20 cm 
dickes ebenes Eis vor und dicht an der Küste tritt 
Neueis auf. Auf See ansonsten eisfrei. 
Voraussichtliche Eisentwicklung 
Jber das Wochenende fließt von Westen her 
nildere Luft in die Ostseeregion. In den meisten 
Regionen werden die Temperaturen am Tag auf 
Freitag, den 09.01.2009

Ihick, very close ice to the longitude of Cape Seraja 
LoSad' and from there to the longitude of the 
lighthouse Sepelevskij there is dark nilas. - The 
Vyborg Bay is covered with 15-25 cm thick fast ice, 
farther out on the fairway there is dark Nilas. There is 
new ice in the Berkezund. In the Luga Bay there is 
dark Nilas and new ice up to the latitude of Dubki. 
There is dark nilas and shuga in Copora bay. 
Archipelago Sea 
In the archipelagos there is new ice, in places. In 
sheltered bays of the Alandsea there is new ice. 
Sea of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: Thin ice in the inner archipelago. - 
Swedish Coast: In the inner bays and small 
harbours there is 5-15 cm thick level ice north of 
Hudiksvall. Southwards along the coast there is thin 
level ice or new ice in sheltered bays up to Gävle. 
The northern Ängermanälv is covered with 15-30 cm 
thick fast ice, in the southern part close to open, 10- 
15 cm thick drift ice is drifting. 
Norra Kvarken 
Finnish Coast: There is thin ice between Vaasa and 
Norra Gloppsten. - Swedish Coast: In sheltered 
bays and harbours there is 5-15 cm thick level ice. 
Bay of Bothnia 
Finnish Coast: The northern inner archipelagos are 
covered with 20-40 cm thick fast ice. At the fast ice 
2dge there is an area of 5-20cm thick, close to very 
close drift ice stretching out approximately to the line 
Repskär - Kemi 1 - 10nm west of Oulu-1 - 20nm 
west of Hailuoto - Nahkiainen. At times there is 
pressure in the northern parts of the ice field. In the 
southern inner archipelagos there is 5-20 cm thick 
ice, farther out there is first a 2-5nm wide lead folloed 
oy thin closed drift ice. - Swedish Coast: In the 
1orthern archipelago there is 10-40 cm thick fast ice, 
farther off shuga and new ice is found. Still farther off 
there is an area of open drift ice from Luleä past 
Rödkallen to Falkensgrund. In the southern 
archipelagos there is 10-20 cm thick level ice in 
sheltered bays and near to the coast there is new 
ice. Else at sea ice free
